- Every presidential election year since 1984, The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars has offered two exceptional seminars in connection with the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. This year, the Democratic National Convention Seminar will take place in Denver, CO on August 17-29, 2008. The Republican National Convention Seminar will take place in Minneapolis-St Paul, MN, on August 24-September 5, 2008.
